Team Selection
You've just been appointed manager of your very own football team for the 2009/2010 Premier League season and the chairman has shown his faith in your ability by promising to invest heavily in new players.
Now it's up to you to consult your shortlist and decide which players you want to select for your all conquering side. You've got a £55 million budget to spend on building your 11-man team, can choose from the best talent the Premier League has to offer and pick up to two players from any one club.
But in order to be successful you'll need to study the tactics board and find the best way of balancing your team's attacking and defensive instincts into a cohesive unit. You can choose between two tried and tested formations, 4-4-2 and 5-3-2:
The 4-4-2 formation consists of one goalkeeper, two full-backs, two centre-backs, four midfielders and two strikers.
The 5-3-2 formation consists of one goalkeeper, two full-backs, three centre-backs, three midfielders and two strikers.
When you're ready to select your team go to register or login, depending on whether you've already entered your personal details, to start picking the players that will take you to managerial greatness using the brand new Team Selection page. Alternatively, if you're in a rush or don't know which players to choose hit the Lucky Dip button and we'll pick a team for you.
